Aurora resident Emily Pierce placed third with a 61 in the girls’ age 12-15 division, nine-hole tournament at the Northern Ohio PGA Kenny Novak tour championship, which took place July 24-25 at Club Walden.
Three other Aurora residents also competed.
Jude Abbass finished in a tie for 10th place with an 18-hole score of 84 in the boys’ 11-15 division and Parker Barett of Aurora finished in a tie for 14th (91).
Luke Radis finished 17th with a 36-hole score of 165 (89 and 76) in the boys’ 16-19 division.
Another Aurora resident, Nick Yanoff, recently scored his first career hole-in-one at Barrington Golf Club. He used a hybrid club on the 191-yard sixth hole. It was Barrington’s fourth ace of the season.
