The Hudson Baseball Association age-12-and-younger White team recently spent a week in Cooperstown, New York, for the Cooperstown All Star Village baseball tournament.

The team finished 58th. Players Jackson Babitsky, Ben Bivens, Jake Clapper, Will Colafella, Grant Kollar, Nicholas Kollar, Evan Peterson, Nathan Prucha, Cade Rhea, Mason Rickon, Liam Robinson, Adam Ruffer and Sam Sockol faced teams from all across the United States.

The team was coached by Isaac Wiley, Nic Bivens, JF Babistsky, Jason Peterson, Jim Rickon and Scott Ruffer.

Babitsky led the team in home runs. He finished 36th overall. Rickon was the team’s fastest runner with a time of 14.4 seconds.

Peterson, Bivens and Clapper placed 24th in the double-play competition and the team finished 25th in the team relay.

The players and their families have been raising funds for the trip since the middle of October. With the fundraising efforts the boys, along with the Hudson age-12-and-younger Blue team, they were able to cover the cost of both teams’ players and coaches.
