The third-seeded Explorers cruised to a 20-0 victory over Boardman in the second round of the Division I, Region 2 tournament.

With the win, Hudson (11-7) is scheduled to visit second-seeded Shaker Heights in a Region 2 quarterfinal match Friday.

Adam Oscarson had four goals and Carter Vaillancourt finished with three goals and an assist for the Explorers.

Blake Lori and Jake Vidmar each had two goals and one assist and Jay Valko had one goal and two assists. Frankie Fulco also had a multi-point evening with two goals.

Others who contributed offensively for Hudson were Colin Peel (one goal and one assist), Dane DiGeronimo (one goal and six ground balls), Brennan Catania (one goal and four ground balls), Michael Chojnacki (one goal), Jordan Ito (one goal), Brady Ludewig (one goal), Sully Clark (one assist), Merrick Widdoes (one assist) and Ryan Hunt (five ground balls).

The Explorers took 42 shots and won 19 of 24 faceoffs. Hudson also scooped up 48 ground balls.
