The Hudson softball team improved to 14-1 after earning a 3-1 victory over host Chardon Monday.
Left-hander Olivia Stefanoni went the distance in the pitcher’s circle to improve to 7-0 in 2019. She finished with five strikeouts and also had a double at the plate.
Cami Madar added two hits for the Explorers and Hannah McCray had a sacrifice fly. Macy Peck also drove in a run for Hudson, which trailed 1-0 until it scored one run in the sixth and two more in the seventh.
The Explorers finished with just three hits and one error. The Hilltoppers had five hits and two errors.
