The Tallmadge boys track and field team won the 10-team Buckeye Relays Friday in Medina.

The Blue Devils scored 98 points to edge North Royalton (97). Cuyahoga Falls took third with 54 points.

Nick Hussing continued his stellar season by winning the 100-meter dash with a time of 11.43 seconds.

The shuttle hurdle team of Lucca Passarelli, Dylan Phelps, Danny Kurko and Ryan Kaufman won with a time of 1 minute, 11.59 seconds.

Passarelli added a win in the 300 hurdles (40.84) and also placed first in the high jump (6 feet, 2 inches).

Also capturing first was the distance medley relay team of Zach Brown, Ben Hudak, Jackson Queen and Tommy Naiman (11:40.22), who added a win in the 3,200 (10:19.11).

Eli Zander led his team to the shot-put title with a first-place throw of 45-11 ½. He was joined Jason Grassie and Michael Cornell as the trio combined for a distance of 128-10.

400 relay: Ambrose, Passarelli, Riley Murphy and Hussing, second, 45.86
