All good things must come to an end.

Unfortunately, the Hudson baseball team found that out the hard way.

The host Explorers suffered their first loss of the season after falling to Brecksville-Broadview Heights 2-1 Tuesday at The Ballpark at Hudson.

The Explorers took a 1-0 lead after three innings, but the Bees scored a run in the fifth and one more in the seventh.

Hudson dropped to 11-1 overall and 5-1 in the Suburban League National Conference. The Explorers finished with just two hits and struggled defensively with three errors.

Brecksville finished with six hits and one error.

Brendan Palmer and Robbie Pacsi had the only hits for Hudson.

Tommy Barth and Mitch Macy led the Bees’ offense. Barth had two doubles and scored both runs and Macy also had two doubles and drove in both runs.

Barth also went the distance on the mound. He struck out three batters and issued three walks.

Aiden Samuel (2-1), who entered the game in the sixth, took the loss on the mound.
