The Western Reserve Academy boys track and field team finished in a tie for fifth place at the seven-team Perry Gene Kobus Relays Saturday.

The Pioneers and Wickliffe scored 61 points, just one point behind fourth-place Painesville Harvey (62) and two points behind third-place Chesterland West Geauga

Woodridge won the competition with 96 points and Perry was the runner-up with 72 points.

The sprint medley team of James Doh, John Okeleke, Simon Homadi and Keagan Le Roux captured Reserve’s only title. The quartet finished with a winning time of 1 minute, 39.8 seconds.

WRA also had two second-place finishes. The high-jump duo of Alex Lammers and Jacob Grossman finished with a combined height of 10 feet, 11 inches and the 800-meter relay team of Doh, Okeleke, Tim Chen and Le Roux ran a clocking of 1:38.2.
