The Western Reserve Academy baseball team continued its stellar season.
The host Pioneers improved to 7-2 after earning a commanding 11-1 victory over Elyria Open Door Christian Thursday.
The game was called after 5 ½ innings due to the 10-run mercy rule. Reserve scored 10 runs in the first three innings and finished with 10 hits and zero errors.
Open Door Christian had four hits and one error. WRA stole 10 bases.
Aidan McKenna had a triple, three RBIs and a run scored and Noah Barnes stole two bases and scored two runs for the Pioneers.
Matthew Fillipelli, who got the win on the mound, had a double, three runs scored, an RBI and a stolen base.
Mikey Mylott added two hits, an RBI, a stolen base and a run scored.
Fillipelli pitched 3 ? innings before being relieved by Justin Gacom, who struck out eight batters in just 2 ? innings of work.
