The Western Reserve Academy baseball team improved to 5-2 with a 7-3 victory over Manchester Tuesday in Akron.

The Pioneers took a 5-0 lead after the first two innings and didn’t look back. Reserve finished with nine hits and no errors.

Jack Barnes allowed no runs in four innings of work to get the win. He also had two hits, including a double, and two RBIs at the plate.

Matthew Filippelli added three hits, a run scored and an RBI and Jake Pendergraft finished with two hits, two RBIs and a run scored.
