The Hudson baseball team’s season has been just about perfect thus far.

There was no "just about perfect" on Monday.

Just ask senior right-hander Matthew Aukerman.

Thanks to Aukerman’s perfect game, the Explorers squeezed out a 1-0 victory over host Cuyahoga Falls at Water Works Park.

Aukerman finished with 10 strikeouts and threw just 80 pitches, including 61 for strikes.

The Explorers finished with just four hits. They also drew three walks and scored the lone run in the top of the first.

Ryan Mitcheltree drew a leadoff walk, stole second and then came home on a run-scoring single by Grant Gedeon.
