The Western Reserve Academy boys lacrosse team picked up its first win of the season Tuesday.

The Pioneers improved to 1-3 after earning an 11-3 victory over Gates Mills Hawken at Cleveland State University.

Max Jewett and Evan Bongers each scored four goals for Reserve. Bongers also had two assists.

Noah Goad contributed two goals and three assists and Max Slotnik had one goal and one assist for WRA. Tommy Wagner also had an assist for the Pioneers.

Lucas Martinez had nine face-off wins and Reserve goalie Adam Goad made 14 saves.
