After giving up 100 points to the Minutemen earlier in the season, the Aurora boys basketball team had a more effective defensive game plan against Revere this time.

Well, sort of.

The host Greenmen still had trouble stopping the first-place Minutemen and as a result, dropped an 81-61 decision in Friday’s Suburban League American Conference showdown.

Revere took a 42-25 lead at halftime and didn’t look back.

Hunter Drenth led the Minutement with 27 points. Nine players scored at least two points for Revere.

Gabe Elsawy led Aurora with 18 points. Ethan Hays added 13 points for the Greenmen (9-9, 5-6).
