The Tallmadge girls basketball team rallied from a halftime deficit to get a much-needed conference win.
The host Blue Devils improved to 7-12 overall and 4-6 in the Suburban League American Conference after earning a 58-49 victory over Highland Wednesday at James O. Maddox Court.
The Hornets led 30-22 at halftime, but Tallmadge outscored Highland 21-7 in the third quarter to take the lead.
The Blue Devils didn’t let up in the final eight minutes to pull away.
Jordyn Severns knocked down four 3-pointers on her way to a game-high 21 points. Jill Catalano added 14 points and Lizzie Bickar finished with eight points for Tallmadge, which made just 11 of 22 foul shots, but had a 35-28 edge on the glass.
Maddie Miller led Highland (12-7, 7-4) with 16 points and teammates Kendall McCormick and Tess Myers contributed 14 and 12 points, respectively.
