The annual Stark-Summit All-Star high school basketball games will be at Barberton High School this year.

The annual Stark-Summit All-Star high school basketball games, formerly held at Malone University, are being moved to Barberton High School. The Magic City Kiwanis of Barberton is taking over responsibility from the Plain Township Rotary for arranging the games — a boys-girls doubleheader featuring the top seniors from each county.

The event is scheduled for Wednesday, March 27. The girls game will tip off at 6:30 p.m., and the boys game will follow at 8:30. Tickets are $6 for adults and $4 for senior citizens, children and students.

Selection of the seniors invited to play will be done by coaches in each county, and should be announced by the end of February.

Magic City Kiwanis is looking for sponsors to help defray the all-star games' expenses, ranging from donations of $250 to $1,000. Program ads are available from $50 to $150.

In a news release sent out by the Magic City Kiwanis, the organization said it is "hoping some of those who supported the event when it was in Stark County will follow it to Barberton."

The Magic City Kiwanis also said it "is very appreciative of Dave Kraft of the Plain Township Rotary for his help with the transition."
