The host Aurora boys basketball team improved to 4-1 overall and 2-1 in the Suburban League American Conference after earning a 66-63 victory over Barberton Friday.

Ethan Hays had a game-high 27 points to lead the Greenmen. He also had 10 rebounds.

Justin Gentile and Gabriel Elsawy contributed 11 and 10 points, respectively, for Aurora, which led 47-45 heading into the fourth quarter.

Jordan Soyars led the Magics with 20 points and Jamair Blackmon added 19 points. The Greemen canned all seven of its free-throw attempts. Barberton made 12 of 21 from the foul line.
