The Western Reserve Academy boys cross country team placed 26th with 719 points at the 28-team Woodridge Cuyahoga Valley National Park Invitational Saturday at Kendall Hills in Peninsula.

Woodridge won the competition with 45 points and Brecksville-Broadview Heights (110) and Hudson (131) took second and third, respectively.

Will Downing led the Pioneers with a 92nd-place time of 20 minutes, 20.5 seconds.

Rounding out the top five for Reserve were Jacob Grossman (158th, 21:50.8), Tano Nguyen (166th, 22:02.2), Matthew Bloom (199th, 23:49.6) and Zohaib Mailk (200th, 23:50.2).
