A road contest against a winless opponent could be a trap game for an unwary football team.

While the game may not have always been a work of art, Twinsburg football avoided that trap Friday, as the Tigers scored a 35-20 win at Brecksville-Broadview Heights, keeping the Bees winless at 0-6.

Twinsburg improved to 4-2, 3-0 in the Suburban League National Conference.

Twinsburg got a pair of touchdown runs from Jamir James and two touchdown passes from quarterback Adam Van de Motter for the win. Van de Motter tossed a 26-yard touchdown in the second quarter to Jameel Banks and a 17-yard TD strike to James Bessett in the third quarter.

Brecksville got the lead to 21-14 after three quarters, but the Tigers got a two-yard touchdown from Austin Cefaratti and a five-yard touchdown run from James in the fourth quarter to ice the game.

Twinsburg will return to Tiger Stadium Friday for a showdown with Stow-Munroe Falls at 7 p.m.
