Hudson graduate Dominic Polifrone, a junior on the Baldwin Wallace (Berea) University men’s tennis team, recently was named the Ohio Athletic Conference Men’s Tennis Player of the Year.

Polifrone was named to the All-OAC team for the third consecutive year.

Polifrone finished with a 21-5 singles’ record (17 wins at No. 1) and a 20-6 mark in doubles’ action.

Throughout his career, he has recorded 63 wins in singles and doubles. He has received the BW Academic Excellence Award two years in a row for the highest grade point average on the team, has been named an Academic All-OAC selection and is a two-time Intercollegiate Tennis Association Scholar Athlete.

Additionally, the junior has earned two OAC Men’s Player of the Week accolades throughout his three years. His 24-3 singles’ record in 2015 ranks tied for 10th all-time for wins in a season and his 24 doubles’ wins in 2015 ranks fifth all-time for doubles wins in a season.

Polifrone led the Yellow Jackets to a 15-5 overall record and a 5-3 mark in the OAC.
