After taking its lumps due to multiple injuries and illness, the Hudson boys volleyball team has been on a roll.

The Explorers earned their third straight victory after posting a 25-22, 25-23, 23-25, 25-14 victory over host Stow-Munroe Falls Friday at James G. Tyree Gymnasium.

It was not Hudson’s best performance of the season, but head coach Larry Meehan will take it.

"It was not a pretty match, marred by many service errors and erratic passing," he said. "But the boys continued to battle and eventually found their way."

Aidan L’Hommedieu had a 2.6 passer rating over 41 attempts to go along with six digs for Hudson. He also had an error-free night from behind the service line.

Matt Gentry finished with 15 kills, five aces and a 2.7 passer rating over 20 attempts for the Explorers (9-10).

Also contributing for Hudson were Shane Chilcott (seven kills and four blocks), Jack Torrence (four kills and three blocks) and Luke Karnofel (24 assists, 10 digs, three kills and two blocks).
