Thomas David Jordan

Parma - Thomas David Jordan, age 41, of Parma, Ohio, passed away Saturday, June 26, 2021. He is the beloved son of Anne E. (nee Guelcher) and the late David E. Jordan; brother of Matthew Carey (Jennifer) Jordan; uncle of David, Daniel, Adalie, John, Jacob, Nicholas, and Andrew; and beloved nephew and cousin of many. Admired for his sense of adventure and willingness to chart his own path, Tom loved exploring new places, engaging with diverse kinds of people, and, above all, the history, culture, and social texture of American cities. His career path took him, via a bachelor's degree in economics from The Ohio State University and a master's degree in urban planning from Cleveland State University, to jobs as a city planner for the City of Cleveland and, most recently, as an economic development coordinator for Bellaire-Puritas on Cleveland's west side. Along the way, he drove from Cleveland to Vancouver on a scooter, served as chief wine steward on the cruise ship Pride of Aloha, and became a skilled woodworker and electrician. He will be missed, and he will never be replaced. A memorial mass will be celebrated in Tom's honor Saturday, July 3, 2021 at 11 AM at St. Mary Catholic Church, 340 N. Main St,, Hudson, OH, and a viewing will be held from 1-3 PM on Saturday, July 3, 2021 at JOHNSON-ROMITO FUNERAL HOME, 19 E.
