Cuyahoga Falls - Cecil W. Koehler, 88, passed away June 15, 2021. Born December 8, 1932 in Richland Center, Wisconsin and lived in Galesville WI until 1942 when he moved to Milwaukee. Cecil graduated from Boys Tech High School and attended Carroll College for 1 year. He served 2 years in the Army as a Radar Mechanic at the end of the Korean War. He worked for Allen-Bradley while attending the Milwaukee School of Engineering where he earned a degree in Electrical Engineering. Cecil then spent 10 years working for Cutler-Hammer designing control systems. In 1970 he moved to Cuyahoga Falls and began working at Goodyear Tire and Rubber where he worked on control systems and traveled to many of the plants around the world. He retired as a Senior Consultant in 1997. Cecil was active in the IEEE as past chairman of the Akron section and the Rubber and Plastics Conference. As a senior member he received a Centennial Award in 1984. Cecil was a member of the Masonic Lodge #3 in Wisconsin.

He enjoyed golfing, bowling and working on Habitat Homes. Cecil was an Active member of Grandview United Methodist Church where he enjoyed a wonderful church family.

Preceded in death by his parents, Julius and Audrey (Skar), sisters, Patricia and Bea, his loving wife, Doris of 41 years; granddaughter, Crystal Reim; and son-in-law, Jeff Reed. He is survived by his daughters, Hope Reed, Penny (Orville) Allen, Vicki (Tom) Wachtl, Dana Frase, Terry (James) Basher, Patti (Richard) Reim; grandchildren, Jennifer, Thomas, Ginger, Dustin, Jeremy, Timothy, Robert, Brian and Joshua and great-grandchildren, Rasha, Peyton and Nash.

Friends may call 2 hours prior to a 12 PM funeral service on Tuesday June 22, 2021 at the Clifford-Shoemaker Funeral Home 1930 Front St. Cuyahoga Falls, OH 44221.
