Marilyn Jane Sheppard Eschliman

Hudson - Marilyn Jane Sheppard Eschliman (nee Porter) of Hudson, Ohio, passed away peacefully after a long illness on Tuesday, March 30, 2021. Beloved wife of Edwin Eschliman and the late Malcolm Keene Sheppard Jr; loving mother of Cynthia "Kay" (John) Swigart, Lee Sheppard, Douglas Sheppard, and Christopher Sheppard; step-mother of Lee (Marylynn) Eschliman, Lara (Mike) Nedeltscheff, and Lance (Liz) Eschliman; grandmother of Robert Lane Fuller, Vera, Joachim, Sergi, Ewan, Hailey, and Dillon; dear sister of the late Elinor (Quentin) Swiger; aunt of Andrew, Calvin, and Charles Swiger. She was affectionately known as "Coach Sheppard" coaching girls tennis at Hudson High School from 1987 to 1999, as well as boys tennis from 1988 to 1996 earning a plaque for 300 victories by the Ohio Tennis Coaches Association. Marilyn was also a longtime substitute teacher in Hudson and active as a volunteer with various symphonies throughout in the 1970s and 1980s. She appeared on a cooking show on WJW channel 8 in the 1950s, when it was still a CBS affiliate, Per Marilyn's wishes, services were held privately.
