Vicki A. Nolfi
Hudson - Vicki A. Nolfi (nee Martuaz), age 70 of Hudson, Ohio and of Daufuskie Island, South Carolina, passed away Tuesday, February 23, 2021. Vicki was born on October 13, 1950 in Campbell, Ohio to the late Katherine (nee Niemczura) and Stanley Martauz. Vicki was a teacher for 25 years, 18 of those years in Hudson, Ohio. Vicki is survived by her beloved husband of 49 years Gregory Nolfi; loving son Bradley (Christen) Nolfi; cherished grandson Noah; dear sister Janet (Dennis) Brayer; niece Alissa (Chris) Semonin; nephew Robert (Nicole) Brayer; and great-nieces and nephews Hailey, Carley and Jacob Johns, and Dominic and Brady Brayer. Anyone who had the pleasure of spending time with Vicki knew her many passions, including the Daufuskie Island life, riding her horse Journey and playing with her dog Jasper or her cat Giada. Vicki loved photography, painting, and traveling with friends and family. Vicki was a vibrant loving soul who truly lived life to the fullest and her greatest joy of all was her family. She was the proudest mother and grandma and enjoyed any activity with Noah, especially passing along her love of science and nature. Vicki was a treasured teacher who dedicated many years of service to her Hudson students. In recent years, Vicki and Greg spent significant time with their special Haig Point community and always planning their next adventure.
While Vicki had many accomplishments, her most cherished role was being "Grandma". Noah was the light of her life. Vicki stepped into this role effortlessly and was Noah's favorite playmate. Whether they were dressed as pirates, singing silly songs, creating snowstorms with tissues or just snuggling in their jammies, they always enjoyed their time together. Vicki was generous with her time and love; two of life's most precious gifts. Noah was blessed to have the best Grandma and will forever hold their time together and love in his heart.
Celebrations of Vicki's life will be held in Ohio and in South Carolina at a later date. Memorial contributions may be made in her memory to the Haig Point Foundation (www.haigpointfoundation.org) and note your contribution to the Vicki Nolfi Memorial Fund.
