She graduated from Hudson High School in 1960, maintaining life-long friendships. She loved life with a passion and living in Cleveland, attending ethnic festivals, concerts, Indian Pow Wows, car rallies, parades, fireworks, if there was an event, she was there. She had a "green thumb" with her love of flowers and gardening, she became a professional florist and owned her own company with a certification in Advanced Floral Design. She also loved cooking and hosted many family gatherings with her excellent food all made with love. Her education provided her a background in Business Management and Accounting, which she used in her employment profession at PNC Bank and National City Bank. Claudette will be remembered for being outgoing, loving, generous, optimistic, stubborn and witty. She loved her Polish heritage and God, she lived with honesty, integrity and kindness, enjoyed being outside, traveling, girl's margarita night and nature. A loyal Cleveland Browns fan and forever on the go to have fun. One of a kind, true till the end, she will be missed immensely. She is lovingly remembered by many close friends. Nothing made her more proud than her children and grandchildren. Survived by: her loving daughters Christine L. Dunlap and Trudy A. Courey (Alan Courey). Her most loyal, loving grandsons Logan E. Courey and Ryan A. Courey. Her son Laurence E. Dunlap (Denise Dunlap) and grandson John Dunlap, loving brother Myron J. (Cork) Chicota (Joan R. Chicota). Her niece Dr. Cammy L. Chicota-Carroll (Dr. Russell T. Carroll) their children Quinlyn B. Carroll and Mirren L. Carroll. Her nephew Myron G. (Greg) Chicota (Cindy Chicota). Following a memorial service and celebration of her life (that will be held at a later scheduled date), she will be laid to rest next to her relatives at Brooklyn Heights Cemetery in Cleveland, Ohio. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Laura's Home Women's Crisis Center at thecitymission.org (Claudette would want to help other mothers and children).
