ROSE M. SHARP

Boston Heights - ROSE M. SHARP (nee Creary) age 58 of Boston Heights, Ohio passed away Tuesday Nov. 17, 2020. Beloved wife of David J. Sharp, loving mother of Asha Noel, Malachi James, Demetrius Kelan and Lyla Candace, dearest daughter of Audrey (nee Roberts) and the late John Creary, dear sister of Marianne O'Loughlin, Kenneth (Lauren States) Creary, Joseph (Christine Robinson) Creary, Martin (Therese Picucci) Creary, Eve Creary, Nicholas Creary, Regina (Michael) Molinelli and Christin Creary.

Rose grew up in Chappaqua, New York where she attended Horace Greeley High School. An aspiring actress she was very involved in various theatre groups and attended Fordham University at Lincoln Center upon graduation. After moving to Ohio, Rose continued to sing, dance and act performing at Beck Center in Lakewood and Huntington Playhouse in Bay Village.

A lifelong lover of wildlife, she began working for the Cleveland Metroparks Zoo, first as an intern, and then as a full time Animal Keeper upon graduation from Cleveland State University where she earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Biology. At the zoo she worked primarily with the bachelor gorilla group in the Cat and Primate building.

In 2000, Rose and her husband David moved to Boston Heights, Ohio where they adopted four children.

Rose was a passionate and lifelong member of the Catholic Church, and at St. Mary's in Hudson she was very active in several groups including, Life Teen, Christ Renews His Parish, Respect Life, Cancer Support Group, Scriptural Study, and was the music coordinator for the Healing Ministry. She often worked at various shelters helping to provide meals.

Rose was a vibrant, beautiful soul, blessed with many artistic talents that she shared with all who knew her, and she was committed to helping anyone who needed assistance.

In lieu of flowers memorials can be made to Compassion International www.compassion.com or The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society www.donate.lls.org. The family will receive friends Friday Nov. 20, 2020 from 2-4 & 6-8 PM at Johnson-Romito Funeral Home 99 W. Aurora Road (Rt. 82 1 Mile west of Rt. 8) Northfield Center, Ohio. Mass of Christian Burial will be held Saturday, Nov. 21, 2020 at 10 AM at St. Mary Catholic Church 340 N. Main Street Hudson, Ohio ALL TO MEET AT CHURCH.
