HUDSON - Dorothy Alden Wilce Krause, formerly of Hudson, Ohio, died peacefully on June 3, 2019 at the age of 90 surrounded by family. The daughter of former Ohio State football coach, Dr. John W. “Jack” Wilce, and a descendant of the Mayflower (John & Priscilla Alden) was the fourth child born to Jack and Minerva Wilce in Upper Arlington, Ohio.
She loved her role as a school teacher at Evamere Elementary in Hudson, but her most impactful role was as a mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She exuded love and warmth and all were drawn to her. She taught her family to love with full intention and to laugh without inhibition. She welcomed all with a genuine embrace…both arms required. Proper grammar was a must. Buckeye football is sacred. Family is the most important thing in life and food is love.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Robert F. Krause and her daughter, Anne Krause. She is survived by her children, Susan Krause Alderson (Richard Stein), Robert F. Krause, Jr. (Valerie); her grandchildren, Meghan Barton (Travis), Sarah Kuntz (Derek), Teague Alderson; and great-grandchildren Braden, Ryan, Annie and a fourth on the way. (HH, 8/7/19)
