PAYSON, ARIZ. — Christopher James Clayton, 54, of Payson, Arizona, passed away March 30, 2018, from Insidious Guillian Barré Syndrome.

Born in Toledo, Ohio, on May 17, 1963. Our son went to another world on Good Friday with a full moon at approx. 9:45pm in the ICU in Payson, AZ. He had contracted this awful syndrome after having his gall bladder out in a hospital in Phoenix, AZ, and was in massive pain for the last several years. Unfortunately, while doing some painting on a 2-story home, he fell 30 feet from a ladder and thus began life long problems for the next 15 years. The move to AZ. may have contributed to more problems. His strength and dignity were beyond reproach and was admired for his determination he had to handle the dreadful side effects of this insidious disease that no one talks about. His heart was as big as he was, and passionate about his 2 children, parents, siblings, his cars, football, baseball, movies. He loved learning & had a degree in Mechanical Engineering and enjoyed remodeling houses. He was always proud, smart and gracious.

Preceded in death by his father James T Clayton, Chris is survived by his children, Abigail Ann Clayton & Jacob Christopher Clayton; mother, Carla DeKoeyer Clayton; sister, Kelly Clayton Ott; brother, James T. Clayton III. May our son, brother and father rest in peace forever. He will be missed. (CFNP, 1/5/20)
