TWINSBURG - Coy Spence, age 94 of Twinsburg, OH passed away March 25, 2019 at home after a long struggle with cancer and kidney failure.

He was cared for by his loving wife, Rebecca (nee Napier) of over 71 years and was the beloved father of four children, Kenneth (Linda), William (Lorraine), Lucian (Diane), Rhonda Kollman (Greg), 9 grandchildren, and 14 great grandchildren.

Coy served as an infantry Sgt. in WWII with the Army in Italy from March 1944 to August 1945 where he was awarded the Bronze Star and earned a Purple Heart. After the war, he moved to Cleveland and then to Twinsburg in 1957 working for River Terminal Railroad/Republic Steel until his retirement in 1981. He also worked for the Twinsburg Board of Education as a bus driver for 13 years. He was an active member of the Cleveland Free Will Baptist Church for over 50 years. He enjoyed being outdoors and would take walks each day, when able, then relax on the front porch with his little dog, Spot for several hours. His greatest pleasure came from spending time with his wife, family, friends, and neighbors.

Visitation and funeral services were celebrated at the Ferfolia Funeral Home in Sagamore Hills. Burial in Crown Hill Cemetery, Twinsburg followed funeral services.
