Luella C. John, 87, of Newcomerstown, passed away Saturday, April 28, 2018, at Community Hospice House in New Philadelphia.

She was born Monday, March 16, 1931 in Newcomerstown to the late William Henry and Edith Catherine (Degen) Regula. She was a member of Bakersville Community Church. She enjoyed gardening, baking, cooking, sewing. She loved her cats, birds, dogs and spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

On Oct. 18, 1952, she married George G. John, who passed away Jan. 20, 1998.

She is survived by her children, Daniel (Sherry) John of Newcomerstown, Connie (Daniel) Patterson of West Lafayette, Becky Stoffer of Newcomerstown; grandchildren, Teresa (David) Evin, Susan (Bret) Fogle, Brian (Lindsay) Stoffer, Kimberly (Andy Waggoner) Wilkin, Brandon (Kristen) Stoffer, Beth Stoffer and fiance James Miskimen, Carrie (Kevin) Daugherty, George John and Danielle John; numerous step-grandchildren; great-grandchildren, Jacob, John, Zachary, Andrew, Emma, Madison, Abigail, Wyatt, Garrett and Levi; a sister, Norma Jean McClure of Newcomerstown.

She was preceded in death by one granddaughter, Kathy Jean Patterson; and one sister, Caroline June Wolfe.

Services were Tuesday, May 1, at 11 a.m. at Bakersville Community Church with Pastor Rod McBride officiating. Burial followed at Bethel Cemetery. Addy Funeral Home handled arrangements.
