Ohio’s small businesses are desperate for an economic comeback. According to a recent survey, one-third of Northeast Ohio companies fully or partially shut down because of the COVID-19 pandemic.

This doesn’t only affect small business owners. When the free market isn’t functioning properly, employees and job-seekers—thousands and thousands of them in our area—are the ones who ultimately lose out. I’m the owner of an indoor air quality testing and inspection business, and we have lost countless customers due to the coronavirus. And, when we lose customers, I lose my ability to pay the hard workers who make our entire operation possible.
