STOW – On Tap, 4396 Kent Road, is for sale or lease.
Owner Art Michaels said the Michaels family has owned the business for 15 years and is selling or leasing the building.
"It was a business decision," Michaels said. "If I find a buyer and sell it, fine. If not, I don’t believe in never or always. It could reopen if the environment gets better."
Other On Tap properties in Cuyahoga Falls and Medina were recently renovated and are fully open for business, Michaels said.
"We just put quite a bit of money in the Falls and Medina [locations], and we’re going to stay," he said.
The On Tap in Cuyahoga Falls has inside and outside dining with a full menu, Michaels said. They are providing social spacing and sanitizing for customers.
"We’ve added to the patio, and we have adequate room now," he said. "We expanded it. Hopefully we’ll add a bigger patio and bar on the side next year."
The COVID-19 pandemic affected the businesses like all the restaurants which had to close in March and then opened to outdoor dining and then indoor dining with spacing and health guidelines.
"If the COVID had not come, we wouldn’t have closed," Michaels said. "With the environment, we’re looking for a tenant or buyer and if we don’t find a buyer, then we’ll see."
Anyone who has gift cards for On Tap can use them at the Cuyahoga Falls or Medina locations, he said.
