Stones taken from construction site: The sheriff’s office said it charged a 55-year-old Solon man with misdemeanor theft after an anonymous person reported seeing someone loading something into a vehicle in a Blue Jaye Lane construction side at about 8:20 p.m. May 23. The sheriff’s office said Twinsburg police found the vehicle with the man driving and stopped it at the Liberty Ledges Park entrance off Liberty Road. Six large stones, which the man admitted to taking from the construction site, were found in the vehicle, the sheriff’s office said. The man was summoned to appear in Stow Municipal Court and released.

Soliciting without a permit

Man going door to door: A Missouri man was cited with soliciting without a permit after police responded to a report that the man was going door to door on behalf of a pest control company in the area of Lockwood Oval during the early evening May 26. Police said they found the man leaving an Oakbrook Circle home. The man apologized and said he thought he was in Macedonia, said police.

Operating a vehicle

under the influence

Vehicle struck tree: Police said they charged a Shaker Heights man, 35, with operating a vehicle under the influence of alcohol and failure to control after his vehicle struck a tree along Whitewood Parkway at around 12:50 a.m. May 24. No injuries were reported. The man was given a Stow Municipal Court date and released on a personal bond to a responsible family member.


Woman reports concerns: A Bronsons Way woman filed a report May 23 about unspecified concerns she had over some social media postings and unwanted emails she received. Police said they gave the woman some advice.

Domestic violence

Woman allegedly struck in face: Police said they charged a 51-year-old Twinsburg man with first-degree misdemeanor domestic violence after they responded to a disconnected 911 call at the man’s home May 23 and found he allegedly struck a woman in the face during an argument. The man was taken to Solon City Jail.
