Packaged marijuana found: Police said they charged a 20-year-old Sweet Flag Way man with fourth-degree felony drug trafficking after they responded to a report of a suspicious vehicle in the area of Bluestem Lane and Sweet Flag at about 2:15 a.m. May 17 and found the man passed out behind the wheel and about 13 ounces of suspected marijuana packaged as if for sale in the vehicle.
The man was also charged with misdemeanor operating a vehicle under the influence of alcohol, underage possession of alcohol, drug paraphernalia possession and full time attention. Police said they also found a partially filled bottle of an alcoholic beverage and a digital scale in the vehicle. The man was taken to Cuyahoga Falls City Jail.
GPS taken: A man reported May 15 that someone took his GPS unit of unspecified value from his unlocked vehicle while it was parked in his driveway in Vira Road’s 4000 block since the evening before.
Items taken from car: A woman reported May 14 that someone stole some change, a comb and a vehicle registration from an unlocked car while it was parked outside her home in Higby Drive’s 1800 block during the previous three weeks.
Safe delivered and stolen: A man reported discovering May 13 that someone stole a safe of unspecified value after it was delivered outside his home in Williamson Road’s 3500 block on April 18.
Mail stolen from mailbox: A man reported that a neighbor witnessed an unknown person taking mail from his mailbox in Duquesne Drive’s 2900 block during the day May 12. Police said it was unknown what was taken.
Unemployment applied for: A Pimlico Boulevard man reported May 15 that someone used his personal information to apply for unemployment. The man said he reported the matter to the unemployment agency and was monitoring his credit. Police said they are not investigating.
Account opened: A Cherryhurst Drive man reported May 15 that while he was trying to open a cell phone account, he discovered that someone had used his personal information to open an account with the provider. Police said they advised the man to contact the bank where he has an account and to check his credit for suspicious activity. Police said they are not investigating.
Vehicle damages yard: A woman reported someone damaged her yard by driving across it in Norton Road’s 1200 block during the day May 12.
