Summit Choral Society’s artistic and educational staff surprised their eight graduating seniors May 8 with a car parade.

Seniors honored include Maggie Kreiner of Kent, Miriam Koby of Kent, Laura Kupper of Cuyahoga Falls, Stephanie Rench of Copley, Joannely Caban of Copley, Clara Dannemiller of Doylestown, Brynne Mosteller of Uniontown, and Damaris Jenkins of Uniontown.

The seniors, each a member of the SCS Children's Choir Program, were each presented with a gift basket that included a red rose, their alumni pin and other treats. Over the last several years, many of these singers performed at Carnegie Hall, the John F. Kennedy Center, the National Memorial Day Parade, Grand Ole Opry as well as numerous concerts and events throughout Northeast Ohio.

The mission of Summit Choral Society is to provide a continuum of musical training for young children through senior adults, produce exceptional choral performances, and preserve the art of choral music for the enrichment and enjoyment of the Greater Akron community.
