Water Works Family Aquatic Center will open for the summer season June 10 for general admission, under stricter rules due to the pandemic. There also will be "Members Only" days on June 8 and 9.

Visitors should be advised that due to the public health orders that have been issued regarding the COVID-19 pandemic, operations at the park will be significantly different.

This summer, maximum capacity will be 1,000 people. Once capacity has been reached, the staff will follow a "10 people out, 10 people in" rule as long as necessary. Membership does not guarantee access once capacity is reached on any given day.

Everyone coming to Water Works will be required to check in at guest services upon entry into the facility. Patrons will be assigned a location for chairs and belongings to maintain social distancing guidelines. No one is allowed to relocate their items outside of the designated area. A limited amount of chairs will be available for public use and are required to be checked out at guest services. Everyone is required to stay in their assigned area unless in the water, using restroom facilities, purchasing concession items, or for another specific purpose.

Groups of 10 or more people are not allowed. Children ages 15 and under will not be permitted in the park without an accompanying responsible adult. There will be no exceptions to this rule.

Masks are encouraged outside of the water but not required. Employees will be required to wear masks at all times unless the employee is a lifeguard performing active lifeguard duties or they are in a designated socially distanced break area.

The concession stand will have limited offerings and the concession stand will not allow patrons inside. Outside food is permitted in the park.

All guests must adhere to public health orders including social distancing in the water. Swimmers should maintain a 6 foot distance from other swimmers who do not live in their household. The lazy river will have additional flotation dividers to ensure distancing in that water feature.

Morning water walking will be held but with a limited number of participants each day.

Preseason pass sales price will be extended through Tuesday, June 2. Passes may be purchased at the Cuyahoga Falls Natatorium or by contacting the Parks Department at 330-971-8225. Season passes may be purchased after June 2 but will require full payment up front and will be at a full price with no discounts offered.

Anyone wishing to receive a full refund on their membership for any reason may do so up until opening day (June 8). Refunds will not be processed after that time.

Due to public health restrictions on social distancing and requirements to operate aquatic facilities, the city has made the decision to close all community wading pools for the 2020 season, according to information posted Friday by the city. The downtown splash pad remains closed at this time and until further notice.
