The Nordonia Hills City Schools plans to reopen its baseball and softball fields for league use, and its tennis courts for public use, starting May 26, according to the school district superintendent.

On May 14, Gov. Mike DeWine said that non-contact and limited contact sports leagues could restart, beginning May 26, with required safety protocols.

Superintendent Joe Clark said that Responsible Restart rules would be posted at the baseball and softball fields, and at the tennis courts.

The track will remain closed for now, Clark said.

"We have been told that the state is working on guidelines for track usage," Clark said. "We will continue to monitor this to help guide our decision-making process."

Mandatory rules include but are not limited to using social distancing, only using one’s own personal equipment, and staying home if they are unwell.
