Money taken from account: A township woman reported May 17 that after she provided personal information to someone who called claiming to work for a bank, someone withdrew $719 from her bank account. The sheriff’s office said it advised the woman to contact any financial institutions she has accounts with as well as the credit bureaus and it provided her with additional identity fraud advice.
Cigarettes stolen from store: A Darrow Road service station store employee reported that an unknown male ran out of the store without paying for four cartons of cigarettes totaling more than $300 in value May 8 and left in a vehicle. The sheriff’s office said the employee was unable to provide the vehicle’s license plate number and the vehicle could not be found in a search of the area.

Woman going door to door: Police said they charged a Utah woman with misdemeanor soliciting without a permit after they responded to a report that the woman was going door to door selling for a pest control firm on Gettysburg Drive during the late morning May 12. Police said they had previously warned the woman she needed a permit.
