Want to say "I do" in a national park this summer?
The Conservancy for Cuyahoga Valley National Park and pop-up wedding event company Haus of Cool are teaming up to offer small wedding ceremonies in Cuyahoga Valley National Park during the coronavirus pandemic.
The conservancy operates Happy Days Lodge and Hines Hill Campus.
There are six dates available between Happy Days Lodge and Hines Hill Campus for pop-up weddings: June 20 and 27, July 4 and 18 and Aug. 22 and 29.
"Many of our couples’ love stories have roots in CVNP," said Lindsay Regan, the conservancy’s senior director of business development. "Our hearts are breaking with our couples who have had to change their wedding plans. By partnering with Haus of Cool, we can offer an option for couples to have a beautiful wedding in the park this year without having to stress about any of the details."
The pop-up park wedding package is $1,800 and includes the decorated venue for a 45-minute ceremony, a photographer and 50 edited photos in a digital album, the officiant fee, a bridal bouquet and boutonniere, seating (6 feet apart to accommodate social distancing), champagne and a wedding cake to take home and all logistics and planning. Haus of Cool handles the set-up and tear down.
Each date has six available time slots, starting at noon. Time between ceremonies will allow conservancy staff to disinfect each location.
"The partnership with the conservancy is a dream come true — not just for the Haus of Cool, but for our great state," said Haus of Cool founder Kattie Cool. "Creating something so beautiful out of a tragedy like COVID-19 and being able to provide this to so many, well, it’s as close to true joy as one can get."
The weddings will be limited to 10 people, including the photographer, officiant and couple. More information, including how to book a pop-up wedding, can be found at forcvnp.org/pop-up-park-weddings or kattiecool.com/pop-up-in-the-park.
Hines Hill Campus and Happy Days Lodge are still available for standard wedding rentals.
