Starting June 1, the city of Cuyahoga Falls will begin a phased reopening of city hall to the public, by appointment only, on Tuesdays and Thursdays.
Beginning June 15, the reopening will be expanded to include appointments on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays. Members of the public may call 330-971-8000 to schedule an appointment with departments that are located in City Hall. Members of the public are strongly encouraged to wear face coverings during appointments to help protect the health and well-being of city hall employees.
"I am looking forward to inviting our residents, business owners, and visitors back into city hall but want to make sure that we are taking a measured approach to do everything possible on our end to help ensure the safety of both our visitors and employees," stated Mayor Don Walters. "Our employees are required to wear face coverings, are reporting temperatures every day, and we have been working hard to institute additional measures, such as the installation of plexiglass barriers and increased cleaning and sanitization throughout the building. Our employees have done a phenomenal job of adjusting to the ever-changing situation with COVID-19 while continuing to provide unmatched city services to our residents and I could not be prouder of the work that they are doing."
City Hall will be open by appointment Monday through Thursday, beginning June 29, and Monday through Friday by appointment, starting the week of July 13. These dates are subject to change pending executive orders from the state of Ohio and the Ohio Department of Health.
