Operating a vehicle
under the influence
Woman charged following crash: Police said they charged a Cleveland woman, 24, with misdemeanor operating a vehicle under the influence of alcohol, prohibited blood alcohol content, failure to control and open container after her vehicle struck a traffic signal control box at the Ravenna and Church roads intersection at about 12:50 a.m. May 7. No injuries were reported and a police report did not say whether there was damage. Police said the woman performed poorly on the field sobriety tests and her BAC level measured at 0.181 percent, more than twice the 0.08-percent legal limit. She was taken to Solon City Jail.
License plate stolen: A Darrow Park Drive man reported May 7 that someone stole one of his vehicle’s license plates while the vehicle was parked outside his home since April 30.
Items stolen from vehicle: An Aurora woman reported someone stole a bag containing a cell phone of unspecified value, credit cards and an unspecified amount of cash from her vehicle while it was parked outside her Independence Parkway place of employment during the evening May 3. A police report did not say whether there was forced entry or fraudulent credit card activity.
Man charged with felony: Police said they charged a Twinsburg man, 40, with fourth-degree felony domestic violence after a woman reported he assaulted her at their home May 3. Twinsburg EMS treated the woman for an unspecified injury and the man was taken to Solon City Jail, said police. Police said the man was charged with a felony due to a prior domestic violence conviction.
