Van window smashed: A Front Street woman reported April 26 that someone smashed the rear door window of a rental van while it was parked behind her home the day before. A police report did not include a damage estimate.
Pellet may have hit window: A Kent woman reported April 25 that someone smashed one of her SUV’s side windows while it was parked in front of a 17th Street home during the night. Police said it appeared the window was struck by a pellet. A police report did not include a damage estimate.
Vehicle struck by object: A Cuyahoga Falls man reported an unknown male struck and damaged the front of his vehicle with an unidentified object in a shopping bag while the man was driving westbound on Portage Trail near Third Street at a little after 10 p.m. April 24. Police said the damage was estimated at $200.
Truck windows broken: A Stow man reported April 23 that someone broke a window of his semi-truck, causing an estimated $500 in damage, and stole a CB radio, shoes and pants totaling about $500 in value while the truck was parked in a State Road parking lot since the day before. A Kent man reported someone entered his semi-truck after smashing a small window on a door while the truck was in the same lot during the same time period. Police said the damage was estimated at $200, but nothing was reported stolen.
Breathing heard on phone: A Cuyahoga Falls woman reported April 26 that an unknown person had called her repeatedly from a restricted number during the previous two weeks and breathed heavily into the phone. Police said there were no leads or suspects.
Breaking and entering
Tools stolen from garage: A Hanover Street man reported April 25 that someone stole socket and drill bit sets and a hammer drill totaling about $200 in value from his detached garage during the previous two weeks.
Animal at large
Chickens escape from pen: A 43-year-old Chart Road man was cited with animal at large after a neighbor reported three chickens had escaped from a pen on the man’s property and were running around the neighbor’s property during the early afternoon April 23..
Wallet stolen at park: An Akron woman reported someone stole her wallet from a diaper bag while she was at High Bridge Glens Park during the late afternoon April 20. Police said the loss totaled about $100.
Holes drilled into speed sign: Police reported someone drilled five holes into a portable speed sign, damaging the camera, front display, two battery compartments and the data transmitter while the sign was set up in the area of Oakwood Drive and Jennings Avenue on April 17. A police report did not include a damage estimate.
