NORTHFIELD CENTER — Plans are forthcoming for allowing students to collect their personal items from the schools, following Gov. Mike DeWine’s announcement that the school buildings will remain closed for the remainder of the 2019-20 school year, according to a statement sent Monday by Nordonia Hills City Schools Superintendent Joe Clark.

"We are currently working on a plan for students to come get their personal belongings and return textbooks," Clark said in a statement sent to the district’s families. "We will follow social distancing protocols, requiring families to schedule a time to come in. It will likely be mid-late May before we put the plan into motion, and we will keep you informed of steps you will need to take. As stay-at-home orders are loosened, we will also restart kindergarten registration sometime in May. Again, we will keep you posted as we determine definite timelines."
