Those wishing to register their children for kindergarten may have to wait until summer.

In a message to Nordonia families sent Thursday, Superintendent Joe Clark stated that, effective immediately, the district is suspending kindergarten registrations until the buildings could reopen. Last week, Gov. Mike DeWine ordered that schools close their physical buildings in an effort to limit the spread of COVID-19. The Nordonia Hills have been closed since Monday and are expected to reopen April 15.

In the meantime, parents can find the necessary forms at online.

"The deadline for full-time kindergarten registration has been lifted indefinitely," Clark stated.

Clark said he would field questions and provide information through Facebook every day from 1:30 to 2 p.m at

Those with questions can submit them at online.
