CUYAHOGA FALLS, SILVER LAKE — The city and village will accommodate utility customers during the COVID-19 pandemic.

City spokesperson Kelli Crawford-Smith said if a utility billing customer is facing a financial hardship due to the coronavirus crisis, he or she must call the utility billing office at 330-971-8250 or email the office at

Contacting the utility billing office will allow employees to record the situation on the individual account and allow for electric and water service to be maintained, according to Crawford-Smith.

Silver Lake Mayor Bernie Hovey said while the due date for paying water/sewer bills will not be extended, he said water service will not be shut off to anyone in the village during the coronavirus outbreak. For more information, Silver Lake water customers can call village hall at 330-923-5233.
