The Tallmadge Recreation Center will be suspending all activities beginning Sunday, March 15, at 10 p.m.

Plans are to reopen at 7 a.m. on Saturday, April 4; the ongoing situation involving the coronavirus will be monitored and the date will be adjusted as needed.

It will be open Tuesday, March 17, as a polling location. Voters should enter through Door 9 on the southeast side of the building.

All Primetimers activities are canceled. Rentals at the Community Center, Ritchie Memorial Shelter and Lions Hall will go on as scheduled.

All recreation center membership expiration dates will be extended 30 days.

During the closure, all programs and classes will be canceled or postponed, including offsite programs sponsored by parks and recreation. Full refunds in the form of household credits will be given for programs canceled by the department during this time.

Families enrolled in before and after school care will not be charged for the time Tallmadge city schools are closed. Those who have already paid for those weeks will be enrolled in the following weeks once schools reopen.

The Easter Egg Hunt scheduled for April 4 has been canceled.
