The Hudson Library & Historical Society has decided to cancel all programs, outreach activities and meeting room bookings from March 15 until April 5.

At this time the library will remain open with normal hours.

Library employees have temporarily removed high-touch items such as plush animal, puppets, toys, puzzles and other playthings that are difficult to clean and sanitize.

Polly Reynolds, the library's head of adult services and archives, said the situation is "very fluid" and "may change."

"We encourage any concerned patrons, especially those in high-risk groups to stay home if they are feeling unwell, running a temperature or are simply concerned about potential exposure," according to a statement from library officials.
