Woodridge Local School District Superintendent Walter Davis said Gov. Mike DeWine’s announcement that schools across Ohio will close for three weeks in response to the coronavirus crisis was "unprecedented."

"For us, in Woodridge, closure will begin on Monday, March 16," said Davis in an all-call to district homes. "At this time, we should expect to return to school on Monday, April 6."

He also noted there is no school for students on Friday, March 13, due to a staff Records Day.

Davis said district staff will be working together for the next several days to determine plans for building access and delivery of instruction during the three-week closure. More details on the plans is expected "in the next day or so," he said.

"Working together, we will get through this," said Davis. "We receive regular updates from Columbus and will continue to monitor the situation closely. …Better days are definitely ahead."
