Amid concerns regarding COVID-19, the City of Cuyahoga Falls has suspended all Parks and Recreation classes, seminars, and events that are scheduled at Quirk Cultural Center for the next 30 days effective Sunday, March 15. Any paid reservations for Parks and Recreation sponsored classes will be honored for future dates. At this time, the suspensions do not impact privately reserved events scheduled for Quirk Cultural Center. However, individuals are encouraged to follow guidance from the Center for Disease Control (CDC) and Summit County Public Health regarding social distancing and health precautions to determine how to proceed with mass gatherings.
Additionally, city-sponsored public events have been canceled for the next 30 days. After those 30 days, the city will re-evaluate the situation with COVID-19 and will then decide how to move forward with future events. The canceled events include:
1. Princess Tea Party - March 15. The Parks and Recreation Department will be rescheduling the Princess Tea Party for a future date. All paid reservations will be honored.
2. Lunch with the Easter Bunny – March 21. All paid reservations will be refunded.
3. Community Meeting on Sustainability and Green Initiatives – April 4.
4. Sensory Egg Hunt – April 5.
5. Egg Dash – April 11.
