Three of the four youth ensembles in ETC School of Musical Arts — The Main Street Singers, Rouge, and the All Americans — performed Jan. 31 at Todaro's Party Center in an Akron during a fundraiser for the Akron-based school.
ETC — which stands for Energy, Talent and Commitment — includes more than 100 students from a three-county area, according to information from the school.
The Main Street Singers are the novice mixed middle school show choir composed of more than 40 sixth-eighth grade students from the greater Akron area. Rouge is the advanced all female show choir in its sixth year of existence and is composed of 28 ninth through 12th grade students.The All Americans are the advanced mixed show choir composed of 48 ninth through 12th grade students from the greater Akron area. All three have toured internationally and won multiple awards.
At the fundraiser, they were accompanied by The Garage Band, which also accompanies them at various events.
ETC also has an elementary-aged show choir for second- through sixth-grade students.
The fundraiser was scheduled to help defray the costs of participating, which includes tuition, costumes and travel.
