All lanes of state Route 8 in Hudson were reopened by 9 a.m. Wednesday after an accident in a construction zone had shut down a portion of the highway earlier.

Hudson police said traffic was moving, albeit slowly, by 9 a.m. The Ohio Department of Transportation reported delays of up to 20 minutes in the area.

An accident in the left lane of Route 8 northbound had blocked the highway at around 8 a.m.

A police dispatcher said the accident was in the left northbound lane north of the Seasons Road interchange. Due to construction, the traffic is split into two one lane paths in that area.

Traffic cameras showed traffic backed up to the Steels Corner interchange. Police asked drivers to avoid the area.

Another accident was reported on the northbound on-ramp at Hudson Drive.
